Customization Tips & Tricks
How to upload custom CSS using a file
To upload your own custom CSS using a file, you will need to open a blank word pad document and paste your CSS in the file.
Then save it as yourfilename.css. It must have .css at the end of the file name. Go to your admin page and click on the "Template and Customization" tab, on the left side bar look under "Advanced Customization" for "Upload Custom CSS." You will see "Option 2: Upload CSS File" title, under that you will see a browse button, click that to browse for your file and then click on submit. This will override the current CSS for the classes and id elements that you specified in the file.
Below is an example of how the structure of your CSS should look in your file.
Code Starts Here -->
@charset "utf-8";
/* CSS Document */
.classname {
background-image:none;
background-color: #000000;
border-bottom: 1px solid #cccccc;
}

If you're looking for a good text editor that handles CSS well, I use Notepad++ to create/edit CSS files. It is open source and has syntax highlighting for CSS.
